Meet the therapist


Alexis Ford, LMHC

My name is Alexis S. Ford, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. As a Florida native, I completed my undergraduate studies at Bethune Cookman University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology; followed by obtaining a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

As a dedicated therapist with 7 years of experience, I have provided services to individuals, adolescents, and families. I've navigated various professional landscapes, from residential and outpatient settings to working as a Caseworker with the Department of Children and Families and aiding youth and families in Juvenile Detention facilities.

I have experience working with individuals who face challenges with Conduct Issues, Mood Disorders, Anxiety, Trauma, PTSD, Self-Esteem, and Women’s Health; utilizing the following treatment modalities: Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

There’s something about the essence of love and its power to aid in the process of healing, self-discovery, empowerment, confidence, self-esteem, and parenthood, I offer a safe and compassionate space for growth.
